TACTiCS

TACTiCS is a model to transfer and align cell types in cross-species analysis. It uses protein embeddings and transfer learning.

In the first step, TACTiCS uses a natural language processing model to match genes using their protein sequences. Next, TACTiCS employs a neural network to classify cell types within a species. Afterward, TACTiCS uses transfer learning to propagate cell type labels between species.

For details and the software, please visit the TACTiCS GitHub page and read publication by Biharie et al. (2023).

Schematic overview of TACTiCS. We use human and mouse as example, but cell types from any two species can be matched.
